A Study on the Effects of Parenting Attitudes on Smartphone Addiction in Adolescents: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Sociality and Stress Coping Style

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to seeksocial welfare intervention methods that can help address the problem of increasing smartphone addiction in adolescents. In order to keep the study both reliable and valid, I measured the issue by utilizing his/her own assessment that are contrived by himself/herself. Furthermore, from October 26th, 2015 to December 2nd, a preliminary survey was conducted based on the survey that was both edited and redeemed assiduously. The research, targeting middle/high school students in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, had been analyzed with 589 surveys that were distributed throughout the area, since 11 out of 600 surveys remained either unanswered or dishonest. Following results have been obtained from this analysis. Firstly, the parenting attitudes as a whole had a direct effect on the sociality, and indirect effect on the stress coping style, and direct and indirect effect on the smart phone addiction. Secondly, sociality had a direct effect on the stress coping style, and indirect effect on the smart phone addiction. Thirdly, stress coping style had a direct effect on the smart phone addiction. Finally, sociality had significant effects between parenting attitudes among stress coping style, and stress coping style had significant effects between sociality among smart phone addiction problems.
